Committee
The committee is a committee that provides guidance, direction and control to a project within an organization. Project steering committees are frequently used for guiding and monitoring cooperation projects, as part of project governance. The functions of the committee might include building a business case for the project, planning, providing assistance and guidance, monitoring the progress, controlling the project scope and resolving conflicts.
Organs
The General Assembly is the supreme organ of the Organization. The Executive Council take all measures, in consultation with the Secretary-General, for the implementation of the decisions and recommendations of the General Assembly and reports to the Assembly.
Secretariat
WEIO Command headquarters are based in Bankok, Thai. The Secretariat is led by the Secretary-General and organized into departments covering issues such as sustainability, economic innovation, education, innovation trends and marketing, sustainable development, statistics and the Innovation Cooperation Strategy (ICS), destination management, ethics and risk and crisis management.

*World Economic Innovation Organization Secretary-General Joe DU Seeking to optimize the efficiency of the Organization, the Secretary-General has introduced a new executive structure consisting of two Deputy Secretary-General and multiple Executive Directors, each one overseeing key structural areas and departments of the Organization, for increased efficiency in achieving World Economic Innovation Organization’s goals, including adding value to members, increasing membership and serving the economic innovation sector as a whole.
The management team works towards a comprehensive vision for development of the economic innovation sector. This includes positioning economic innovation as a policy priority, establishing thought leadership in knowledge and policy creation, increasing resources and strengthening WEIO’s capacity through meaningful partnerships.
Governing Bodies
The bodies of the World Economic Innovation Organization are the:
*General Assembly
The General Assembly is the principal gathering of the World Economic Innovation Organization.
It meets every two years to approve the budget and programme of work and to debate topics of vital importance to the economic innovation sector. Every four years it elects a Secretary-General.
*Regional Commissions
World Econonic Innovation Organization has six regional commissions-Africa, the Americas, East Asia and the Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia. The commissions meet at least once a year and are composed of all the Full Members and Associate Members from that region. Affiliate Members from the region participate as observers.
*Executive Council
The Executive Council is World Economic Innovation Organization’s governing board, responsible for ensuring that the Organization carries out its work and adheres to its budget. It meets at least twice a year and is composed by Members elected by the General Assembly in a ratio of one for every five Full Members.
*Committees
Specialized committees of World Economic Innovation Organization Members advise on management and programme content. These include: the Programme and Budget Committee, the Committee on Statistics and the Innovation Cooperation Strategy, the Committee on Innovation and Competitiveness, the Committee on Economic Innovation and Sustainability, the World Committee on Economic Innovation Ethics and the Committee for the Review of Applications for Affiliate Membership.
*Secretariat
The Secretariat is led by Secretary-General Joe DTQ from Asian, who supervises and responsible for implementing World Economic Innovation Organization’s programme of work and serving the needs of Members. The Affiliate Members are supported by a full-time Director at the Bankok Headquarters. The Secretariat also includes a regional support office for Asia-Pacific in Bankok, Thailand. The official languages of World Economic Innovation Organization are Arabic, Chinese, English, French and Spanish.

The World Economic Innovation organization, the specialized Public agency responsible for the promotion of economic innovation, has long considered the private sector to be an integral partner in fulfilling its general mandate of promoting sustainable development in economic innovation. We believe that the public and private sectors share many common objectives which, in today´s globalized world, can be more effectively tackled through joint collaboration and the establishment of partnerships.
With a global network of companies, educational and research institutions, destinations, and NGOs, the WEIO Affiliate Partnership serve as a vital platform for fostering collaboration and innovation in the economic innovation sector. This unique network of its kind offers partnership a space to engage in meaningful dialogue, share insights, and drive collective action. The primary mission of the Affiliate Partnership is to facilitate knowledge exchange and strengthen synergies among economic innovation key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, ultimately contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

HISTORY
1912
*Economic Innovation is proposed in economic development theory by Joseph Alois Schumpeter who was an Central Europe-Austrian political economist. He served as Finance Minister of Austria in 1919. In 1932, he emigrated to the United States to become a professor at Harvard University.
1948
*Truman signed the Economic Cooperation Act into law and act established the Economic Cooperation Administration (ECA) to administer the program. Its mission statement included: to promote European economic progress, to stimulate European production, to provide support for the issuance of European currencies, and to promote international trade (especially with the United States, whose economic interests required Europe to be wealthy enough to have a sufficient market capacity to import American goods).
1948
*In the same year, the participating countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, West Germany, the United Kingdom, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United States) signed an accord establishing the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (later called the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development or OECD).
1948
*Economic Innovators was launched the Economic Innovation Union, which is mainly about European economic development and cooperation, so it is also called the European Economic Innovation Union.
1961
*European Economic Innovation Alliance was renamed as International Economic Innovation Organization.
2000
*The Millennium Summit was a meeting among many world leaders held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. Its purpose was to discuss the role of the United Nations at the turn of the 21st century. At the meeting, world leaders ratified the United Nations Millennium Declaration. This meeting was the largest gathering of world leaders in history as of 2000.

2001
*The World Economic Innovation Organization has entered a historical transformation phase of reconstruction.
2015
*The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 global objectives established by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. These goals aim to address a broad range of interconnected global challenges, including poverty eradication, environmental sustainability, social equity, and economic growth, under the guiding principle of “leaving no one behind.” Designed to replace the Millennium Development Goals, the SDGs apply universally to all countries, irrespective of their development status, and seek to promote peace, prosperity, and the health of the planet.
2016
*The World Economic Innovation Organization Reform Committee was officially established.
2019
*The World Economic Innovation Organization Reform Committee formally approved the proposal for comprehensive restructuring and reconstruction of the new World Economic Innovation Organization (This proposal is led by the current Secretary-General Joe DU).
2024
*The reform and reorganization of the New World Economic Innovation Organization was completed, and Joe DU officially took over as Secretary-General and set up command and reform headquarters in Bangkok and promoting cooperation with United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok.
